I would say three synagogues, a kollel, and a Jewish day school constitute a "substantial" Jewish community. Oh, and the hundreds of families who use these services and live in the neighborhood. Sherman Park is a big neighborhood, and some parts of it are on the decline, while other parts are pretty stable.

Shortly after an extensive renovation was completed, this convenient and accessible hospital was scheduled to be closed by short-sighted hospital officials who can't see the benefit of having a hosptital that people can actually get to. Yet another boneheaded decision by Milwaukee officials seemingly determined to undermine the city's growth.
