Myopic Books? Could you tag it on Wikimapia?
I don't know of any really good bookstores in Chicago - unless you count the Newberry Library's annual used book sale.
Mr_Gish is a huge fan of Renaissance Books, which is just a few blocks from here, on the west bank of the Milwaukee River.

Yeah, it's a wonderful place, including the deli. Great sausage, great cheap wine, great pastry and breads, and a perfect Old world feel. Highly recommended.

Always crowded, usually with nonpaying customers. It's interesting to see how many cracked out bums come to beg for change and sauce. Brings me to the next topic, in order to get extra sauce you have to pay more and they do not offer Hot Mustard sauce here and they claim that no other Mc. D's has it.. which is a lie, the one by my house has it. Everyone is usually very crabby here.

Good Gyros, as for the other Greek food-- not very impressive. Small portions for the price. I would suggest going to Apollo's Cafe (www.apollocafe.com) if you want good, filling Greek food.

A yuppie pick 'n save. Has a lot to choose from, I like the deli section because you can create your own fruit salads with fruit that's already cut, have a lot of hot and fresh or ready to eat items so it's great if you're hungry but want something different but don't feel like cooking. Large fish selection. A little pricier than most pick 'n saves though. Have a movie cube so if you're bored you can always go there for a new release, it's only a buck for one night.

Very festive inside, crowded usually, GET RESERVATIONS, food is fantastic and it's family style (well can be if ordered) so then it's a bigger deal, very filling! Big parking lot too which is unusual for east side/downtown area!
